Question 1

Can I create a book about someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You fill out the questionnaire about the recipient, and they get a finished book as a gift.

Question 2

Can I ship directly to the recipient?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pick the destination country in your cart, then enter the recipient's address at checkout. The book ships directly from our printer to wherever you specify. We currently ship to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Your cover, your title and, if you want one, your dedication — then pages with no story: lined, dot-grid or blank to write on, or, where the template offers one, a word style printed on every page. A printed copy with pages to write on ships to the United States and Canada.

Question 3

How fast can I get the book?

Accepted Answer

Your book is ready to read in about 5 minutes. After you approve and order, there are two waits: manufacturing takes 10-13 business days from your order until we hand you a tracking number, and then your book is in transit for a further 3-8 business days to a US address — about 3-4 weeks in total. Canada and the UK take a little longer; the estimate for your destination is in your cart. We do not offer express or rush shipping. If the date is close, the Digital Edition skips the printer, though it lands on your own Downloads page rather than reaching the recipient: we start preparing the files as soon as your payment goes through and email you when they are ready, usually within a few minutes.

Question 4

Can I get it as a download instead of waiting for the print?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you have approved the book. Nothing is shipped and nothing reaches the recipient: you download the files from your own account, so this is the book in your hands rather than in their mail. The Digital Edition is an EPUB and a PDF (a PDF alone for a journal of writing pages), $14.99 on its own and $9.99 when you buy a printed copy of that book. With a printed copy, the e-book and audiobook can be added to the same order only when you are ordering from the United States for delivery there. You can add them after your order instead, at the same add-on price. Outside the United States, the Digital Edition is sold by our international reseller, which may charge in your currency and adds your local tax.

Question 5

Can I order extra copies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every copy after the first is a flat per-copy rate, whichever edition you choose — great for family members who would all love the same book.

Question 6

What if I'm not happy with the book?

Accepted Answer

You review every chapter and the cover before ordering. Nothing prints until you approve it. If the printed book arrives with a printing or binding defect, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we will replace it at no cost or refund it in full.
