Approving Your Book

The approval checklist in order, what each box means legally, and what happens after you approve — for a printed copy, the Digital Edition and the Audiobook.

Approving Your Book

Once you are satisfied with your book, you need to formally approve it before you can buy it. Approval is the gate for every way of getting the book: a printed copy, the Digital Edition, and the Audiobook. Until you approve, none of them is offered.

Starting the Approval

On the proof review page, click the Review & Approve button at the bottom. This opens the approval dialog. Its confirm button reads Approve & Add to Cart, and that is exactly what it does: approving puts the printed copy in your cart and takes you there. Nothing is charged by arriving at the cart — you still have to check out. See Adding to Cart & Checkout.

Approval Checklist

You must check every box to approve your book. They appear in this order:

  1. I have read and reviewed all story content in this book — confirming you have read through the content. (On a Journal Edition, which has no story, this reads I have reviewed every page of this book; on a Personalized Bible, whose text is printed as published, I have checked the names, title, dedication and personal pages in this book.)
  2. I have checked for spelling and grammar issues — confirming you have proofread the text, including names and details. (On a Personalized Bible, whose text is printed as published and cannot be edited, this reads I have checked the spelling of the names and details I provided.)
  3. I approve this cover design for printing — confirming you are happy with the cover art.
  4. An acknowledgment about the AI, worded to match the edition you chose. The wordings are set out under The AI Acknowledgment further down this article.
  5. I accept full responsibility for all content in this book — taking ownership of the book’s contents. (On a Personalized Bible this reads I accept full responsibility for the names, dedication and personal details I provided: the text of the Bible is not yours to answer for.)
  6. I understand refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and that approving finalizes my content for printing — acknowledging the refund policy and that approval locks the content for print.
  7. I confirm the paragraph edits I made are my own writing and I accept responsibility for them — this box only appears if you used Polish Paragraphs. Your edited text is printed exactly as you wrote it.
  8. I confirm this proof is final and ready for printing — the last box, and your final confirmation.

The AI Acknowledgment

The fourth box is worded differently depending on how the inside of your book was made, so that what you are confirming is actually true of your book:

  • Written For You, written for you from your answers: “I understand this content is AI-generated and may include creative storytelling details that did not literally occur”.
  • Ready-Made Story, With Your Names in It or Ready-Made Story, Fitted to You, a story written in advance and personalized for you — both ready-made editions check the same box, unless the story is a ready-made classic (see the next item): “I understand this content is AI-generated, was written in advance and personalized with my details, and may include creative storytelling details that did not literally occur”.
  • Journal Edition, which has no written story at all, a Personalized Bible, which reprints a published text, and a ready-made classic, a public-domain story we adapted by hand in advance with your names and pronouns substituted in: “I understand the cover art and any page art in this book are AI-generated”. No model wrote their pages, so only the art is acknowledged.

The exact words you tick are stored with your approval, so the record is of what you actually saw.

What Happens After Approval

Once you approve:

  • Your book’s status changes to Approved.
  • Your printed copy is already in your cart, and an Add to Cart button stays on the book’s page in case you empty the cart or come back later.
  • The Digital Edition is offered alongside it — an EPUB and a PDF of this book (the PDF alone for a Journal Edition made only of writing pages) at $14.99, or $9.99 when you buy a printed copy of that book, in the same cart or any time before. Outside the United States, digital editions are sold by our international reseller, which may charge in your currency and adds your local tax. See Digital Editions.
  • The Audiobook is offered too, where the book has a written story — an MP3 read aloud at $14.99, or $9.99 when you are also buying a printed copy of that book or have bought one before. Outside the United States, audiobooks are sold by our international reseller, which may charge in your currency and adds your local tax. See Audiobooks.
  • The content is locked — you can no longer edit answers or regenerate chapters.
  • Your approval is recorded with a timestamp, content hash, and your IP address for legal protection.

Content License

When you purchase your approved book, the printed copy we deliver is yours to keep, display, lend, or give as a gift. What you receive a license to is the content, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell copies commercially (as a business, in bulk, or through a marketplace), reproduce the book outside our platform, publish it on a self-publishing service, or use the cover art separately (for example, on merchandise). For full details, see Section 7 of our Terms of Service, or Your Content License.

Important Notes

  • Take your time reviewing before approving — this step is irreversible.
  • Approved content cannot be modified after approval.
  • Orders for approved books are non-refundable for content reasons. See our Refund Policy, or Refunds & Returns.
  • AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection under current U.S. Copyright Office policy.
